Shay Pery
Artist and designer, born 1982, graduate of the Department of Ceramic Design at Bezalel, lives and works in Pardes Hanna Karkur.
Pery's works explore the urban space, the structure of the city and its surroundings, with his work moving around two central areas: the public space and the studio space. In the public space, Pery collects physical materials (mainly pieces of wood) that he uses as raw material for his works, along with the collection of visual materials such as sketches and photographs of situations and structures in the urban landscape. These materials are processed and refined in the studio into a work of art. The connection between the visual and physical objects that characterize his works creates a new meaning and a different perspective on everyday situations.
